Saturday Psalm

Hesitant
Dawn stretches and slowly rises
the cool ground shifts and startles weaving worms out to face the mist

Whispering breezes through her mind
blood rushes and lights sunbeams in her eyes

She coaxes flower petals open
then whistles colors to the skies

Dewy tears from nights before
 Shatter green to glass

hums turn into morning
Dawn wakes up at last
